Lovelessclay: The Antikythera Mechanism
http://lovelessclay.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-antikythera-mechanism.html
Thursday, November 8, 2012. Here is a video about the "Antikythera Mechanism" which is the type of thing that is inspiring my new work. Many of you probably know about it, but if not, I urge you to watch this video. It's kind of long, and a bit dramatic, but very interesting non the less. November 12, 2012 at 9:24 AM. Lovelessclay: October 2012
http://lovelessclay.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 28, 2012. Hmm The stuff I thought would work didn't and the stuff I thought wouldn't did. Must be ceramics! Here are some images of my hanging pieces piece. Thursday, October 25, 2012. Barrel of Monkeys Style! So my latest project involves hanging glazed pieces from each other from a base supported by bricks. Crazy, I know. I took some progress shots as I was building it up.errr.down. Some of the images are a little blurry, sorry about that. Printed on "melting clay" balanced over the top.

Lovelessclay: April 2011
http://lovelessclay.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 24, 2011. I finally had some success with this idea. I was in a hurry for my show, so I didn't get before shots. I still have the mold, so I will get some images of that for you later. I love the potential of this and will continue to explore in this direction. Thursday, April 14, 2011. Sunday, April 10, 2011. A couple of pieces I'm working on for the show. Here are a couple of smaller pieces in progress for my upcoming show. Thursday, April 7, 2011. Do we know our own work? There is one th...

Lovelessclay: September 2012
http://lovelessclay.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2012. How Many Failures Does it Take to Screw in a Lightbulb. I was going to devote this post to the other piece I've been working on. It involved hanging pieces from each other barrel-o-monkey style from a larger base suspended upside-down in the kiln on stacks of bricks. The base cracked in the bisque bad enough that I deemed it unsafe to attempt such a construction and risk it all tumbling down. Saturday, September 22, 2012. Inspiration for New Work. Lovelessclay: March 2011
http://lovelessclay.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 25, 2011. Getting Back to What I Know. So I have been exploring some new ideas this semester, and I am getting nervous about whether any of it will turn out. While I am excited about the possibilities of some new directions, and am certainly not done with them, I need good finished work to put in my upcoming show or to enter into shows, etc. What do you guys think, is this good or bad? Monday, March 21, 2011. I wonder if it is easier or harder to work in clay with an octopus tentacle?
