A Wedding, Some Zoos, and Lots of Summer Fun – 7QT. August 7, 2015. Summer is flying by, and between getting our house ready for showings, picking out things for the new house, and practicing music for a wedding reception we performed in, I have hardly blogged at all (not that I haven’t wanted to! My husband’s cousin got married last weekend. My girls haven’t been to a wedding in several years (and don’t remember the ones they have been to), so they were extremely excited. Before. It’s primaril...The bri...

http://motherhoodandmiscellany.com/the-freegas-band
September 4, 2013. July 22, 2016. For Part 2 of my Live! At Lake Thunderhead 2013 series I’d like to write a little bit about the band. There is much about the band that shall remain a mystery, as I am not privy to its inner workings. Though I am. In the band in that I sing songs with them at the Labor Day Party, I’m not really. The band in that I’m a girl. See, this band is not a functioning. But I digress. Let me introduce you to the four originals. Bass player, vocalist, and sometimes drummer. Per...

The Catholic Post Book Reviews. Local, Catholic, and Online. Category Archives: Book Reviews. The Perfect Blindside by Leslea Wahl {Kidlit Corner}. August 31, 2016. It is really hard to get Catholic fiction “right” for younger readers, especially for tweens and teens. That’s why it is so satisfying to finish a book like. The book is an excellent novel, period, and it also happens to weave in Catholic themes. The romance is a subordinate, but lighthearted aspect. In the same way, the teens in. Make over-a...

Here We Geaux: Gone Pecan
http://herewegeauxblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/gone-pecan.html
Friday, May 30, 2008. Someone said to me recently, "You sound like you're living the life." My response: "I. Like I'm living the life." .Ain't that the truth. It seems like everything is going just perfectly for me right now, and perhaps I should be waiting for something to go horribly wrong, but I'm holding out hope that it won't. :). I also plan to continue writing here as much as I can. Supposedly, we are off 2 hours each day, 1 evening a week, and every Friday and Saturday night. (Camp is in ...Just ...

This here blog has been around for a while.over 6 years to be exact. In all that time, a lot of growing up has happened for this girl. Some of you have been following along since the beginning, and others are new to the party.SO, I picked out a few highlights from each year and shared some pictures to go along with the memories. The BLOGline is what resulted. Worked on perfecting my wifey skills. Discovered a microadenoma on my pituitary. Set goals and checked them off my "20 in 14" list. To Monroe, LA.

Here We Geaux: What's a Girl to Do
http://herewegeauxblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/whats-girl-to-do.html
Thursday, July 9, 2015. What's a Girl to Do. When she wants to write, but doesn't have anything to write about? Well, I have something I want to write about but it's going to have to wait a little longer. So instead, I guess I'll share a cute picture of Little Lauren since it is "Throwback Thursday" after all. I wonder if that dress still exists in the attic somewhere. In other news, we've been traveling quite a bit this summer (as usual). The end of May/June consisted of NCAA Regionals in Baton Rouge.

On Humility (or Lack Thereof). August 10, 2015. Last Thursday, we had our beginning-of-the-year, meet-the-new-members Little Flowers Girls’ Club. Picnic. During the picnic, Miss was going to be getting her final badges to finish up her Wreath I. Lass was getting “sashed” in the Sashing Ceremony as a new member. We were all excited for the start of the new Little Flowers year. So when we started this new year, I was excited to see that there are now adorable vests. I decided to get a vest for Lass, and to...

Saturday, July 30, 2016. As I was sitting down to write last night's post I realized that I never shared Tessie's newborn photos from the little hospital photo shoot here. These were snapped our third day in the hospital. She was already trying to win the prize for most laid back, easy going baby of all time. Links to this post. Friday, July 29, 2016. One Month with Tessie. Can you believe that it's already been a month since Tessie was born? Maybe her laid back nature is the reward for surviving a parti...
