Paintings by Rachel Uchizono. Saturday, April 18, 2015. Getting Ready For the Sawdust Fesitval. Big Bend is a famous place to paint in Laguna. They added a Sycamore tree recently. It was a big. Change for such a familiar scene, but I like it now. I really like this little lotus flower painting. It's very small and simple. I am almost finished with this still life. My obsession with Blue Willow and Flow Blue. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow this blog with bloglovin. View my complete profile.

Paintings by Rachel Uchizono. Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Collection of Floral Paintings. When painting flowers I have to have Old Holland magenta and Old Holland emerald green on hand. These paints are very rich in pigment and their distinct colors add so much to the floral painting. Some things you just can't mix! The cost of the paint is extravagant but so worth it. Paintings by Rachel Uchizono: Feeling Like Fall
http://www.paintingsbyracheluchizono.com/2015/10/feeling-like-fall.html
Paintings by Rachel Uchizono. Thursday, October 8, 2015. It's that time of year, when the persimmons turn a deep orange and hang heavy from the tree. The turban squashes arrive at the market and the morning glories want to compliment all that Halloween color. I have to set up a Fall still life and paint some seasonal paintings. My Flow Blue collection of pitchers look beautiful next to winter squashes and the primitive vase. Picks up the yellow in the flowers and the pumpkin. View my complete profile.
