It was so fun to see all the fun posts on Instagram and Facebook of everyone's festivities. We gathered with fellow American friends and had a picnic in the forest, rode bikes through "Narnia," ate ice cream, jumped on the trampoline with sprinklers, and just had a grand old time. So much fun, in fact, I didn't take a single picture! Living Room and Dining Room. And of course, visited a castle.

Holly and Kate decided they like sharing a room, so we moved them in together, and made a playroom with the extra bedroom. Monday, September 8, 2014. First week of school. It's been a long, weird summer. We've had a lot of change and transition, and it feels good to be back to school! Although, I will say, I prefer sleeping in to getting up early. So that's going to take some getting use to again. Here in the Netherlands, kids start school at age 4. All day. Everyday. Monday, August 25, 2014. The biggest news of the week is this:. This girl finally made it to Holland. We've missed her! On Thursday, she turned 13 (I feel so old! We are super excited to have her here. She immediately got thrown into the fire. She's already been on her bike and riding around the city like a pro. Can't wait until we can return the favor.
