Caya Papaya: April 2011
http://caya-papaya.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 14, 2011. Haiku my heart - Jelly fish. Orange contrasts against blue. I can't believe I haven't written in such a long time again! I did want to share one of my daughter's new drawings of a water fairy! I just think it is beautiful. She totally captured a curtsy. These are the images that now fill my psyche with joy. Although it would still be nice to enjoy the occasional jellyfish or seahorse. Please visit the lovely Rebecca's blog. Posted by Deann LMFT. Links to this post.

Caya Papaya: February 2011
http://caya-papaya.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 24, 2011. Haiku my Heart - cactus. The hot desert sun. Kisses pink and red blooms that. Grow from twisted spines. This is the only picture I could find in my archive today that inspired me. I took it in New Mexico about five years ago. I love New Mexico- and still dream that one day I can move the family away from the ridiculously over priced bay area and settle here among the red dirt and amazing sunsets. Anyone have pneumonia before? What do you do about the chest pain?

Saturday, May 22, 2010. This month's inspirations and distractions. But of course, I am her mother.) But seriously, don't you love those color choices! I also was feeling a bit guilty about not talking very much about my sweet little Leo. He is so quiet and non-demanding, that I am afraid he often doesn't get the same attention as his sister. I realized that I haven't even played with his image yet! Posted by Deann LMFT. Links to this post. Saturday, May 15, 2010. Could you be silly? Posted by Deann LMFT.

http://caya-papaya.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 29, 2010. Haiku my heart- swimming. Her awkward fearless beauty. I never learned to swim. which is why it has been so important for my daughter to learn. I love how passionate she is about being in the water. It takes all kinds of bribery to get her out of the pool. Maybe one day she will inspire me to give it a try. Can't be a mermaid if you don't know how to swim. To read more haikus on Haiku Friday or. Maybe to add your own. Visit the enchanting Rebecca. Posted by Deann LMFT. Her strong...

Caya Papaya: November 2010
http://caya-papaya.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 5, 2010. Haiku my heart- bridge. One side of the bridge. Is the constant overwhelm. The other side is peace. I haven't written since September. I have two children under the age of five, I work full time as a mental health therapist, I teach at two universities, I am reading three theses (is that the plural of thesis? Lately, I have been looking more critically at this whole overwhelm thing. Why do I overbook myself? Is the constant buzz of being busy distracting me from something else?

I am very happy with how my shrine turned out- and I can't wait to share even more of it. The auction benefits The Oaxaca Street Children Grassroots.
