Anne E May Impressions. Wednesday, January 21, 2015. I decided to make another large butterfly linocut thinking it would be a nice partner for another one I made. Also, I need a larger piece for the big March auction at the art center where I have my studio. The final print will be 14" x 18". The butterfly will be at the top and then something else at the bottom. We'll see! I will show you more as I go. I love my desk in the corner where I do all my drawing and sit-down work. Anne E May Impressions. Friday, May 23, 2014. Chrysler Museum and the Rubber Duck! The Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman's Rubber Duck. Has settled in the Hague Inlet across from our newly renovated Chrysler Museum's main entrance. It really is a world traveler after visiting Holland, France, Brazil, Japan, New Zealand and several other countries. Now here it is in Norfolk, not so far from my studio. Thought I would go check it out. It was a beautiful day! The yellow and the blue! I wonder how it got so big.

I've always loved them and imagine and sometimes see all sorts of interesting pond life around them. These small linocuts are a real challenge because you have to use your smallest tool. Anne E May Impressions. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. New Butterfly Linocut 2. I'm continuing to work on the new butterfly linocut with two new layers of color, shown here. My deadline for finishing it is at the end of February. I haven't quite decided what will be added at the bottom of the work but I'm hoping that an inspiration will come! Anne E May Impressions. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. A friend gave me this bluebird house this year, so after painting it with some new colors, we put it in the yard to see what happens. Some of the neighbors have good luck attracting bluebirds. I was told that it could take 2 or 3 years before the bluebirds find it. WELL, 22 hours later there was a beautiful bluebird sitting on the top of the house and I couldn't believe it! Maybe next year I'll be lucky enough to have bluebirds. :-). Friday, July 4, 2014.

Anne E May Impressions. Monday, April 20, 2015. This is a photo from the local newspaper about the center where I have my studio. It remains closed while investigators determine the cause of the blast. It originated in a small hallway that contains electrical panels just off of the interior corridor.
