The artistic outlet of me. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. A Taste of our Tea Party. I am home in beautiful Santa Barbara for the summer, working for my Dad and cooking for mom again. I randomly decided one day, "I am going to throw a tea party." I've always wanted to, and my friends and I have talked about it, but I just decided to make it happen finally! Because there is no time like the present! It was a blast! So here is how we (my mom and I mostly) did it. Follow the links for the recipes I used! Definite...

Annie Laurie: Brazilian Stroganoff

http://www.annielauriehouston.blogspot.com/2014/09/brazilian-stroganoff.html

The artistic outlet of me. Saturday, September 20, 2014. Made us this Brazilian Stroganoff (she served her mission in Brazil so it's super authentic) and I loooooved it! So I asked her for the recipe and here it is! I added green bell peppers. You can freeze cream! I put it in a large mason jar and stuck it in the freezer. I pulled it out when I needed it and let it defrost and voila! It helps you avoid buying a bunch of cream for one recipe and feeling like you need to use it all before it goes bad.*.

Annie Laurie: December 2011

The artistic outlet of me. Saturday, December 24, 2011. Easy Curly-Q Christmas Ornaments! Me and the sisters and my mom made these adorable ornaments that we found out about on pinterest (awesome craft website) yesterday and they turned out just ADORABLE:. These are actually really easy to make! 4 scrapbook sized paper's worth of 6-inch long paper strips each about 1/2-inch to 1-inch wide (you will end up with more than you need for one ornamnet). Empty see-through ornament balls. Add 1 cup brown sugar.

The artistic outlet of me. Sunday, January 22, 2012. Cupcake Numero Dos: Blueberries-and-Cream. It went MUCH better than last time :) ). Blueberres-and-Cream Cupcakes (page 42). I did this with a variation: instead of using whipped cream as the topping, I used the same fluffy white frosting recipe from the yellow buttermilk cupcakes and it was SUPREME! 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 cups cake flour (not self-rising), sifted. 1 tablespoon baking powder. 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature. 4 Divi...

Annie Laurie: Spring and Summer Stuff

http://www.annielauriehouston.blogspot.com/2015/07/spring-and-summer-stuff.html

The artistic outlet of me. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Spring and Summer Stuff. So For starters, this is the holy grail of cookbooks! I love Six Sisters' Stuff! I honestly just open up this cookbook and browse through all the pictures over and over again. Get your hands on one of these! Thanks to my mom for this (very) early Christmas present :). I made these delicious CrockPot Porkchops. For dinner one Sunday. Loved them. Definitely a repeater. It's a super tangy recipe and just a little spicy.

Annie Laurie: February 2015

http://www.annielauriehouston.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

The artistic outlet of me. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Aussie Chicken and Flourless Chocolate Cake. My parents are in town and my family gathered at the condo for Sunday dinner! I took this opportunity to try out some new pinterest recipes and victoriously add them to my "Tried it" board! This Sunday I tried Aussie Chicken. Over mashed potatoes served with asparagus and salad. Special thanks to Katie and Curtis for making the mashed and my Dad for making the asparagus :) We all have our jobs.

The Sovereign State of Houston. The Art of Engineering. Published Elsewhere: Why I Quit Arkane to Go Indie. November 16, 2012. Anticipating the understandable reaction of my friends and family, I’ve been percolating on why I decided to make the risky leap to go indie and “make games for nerds”. After two weeks of fretting and navel gazing the product is now posted at Gamasutra. As a promoted blog post. Comments are closed. You will not be able to post a comment in this post.
