Quilting in My Pyjamas: Being A Lady of Leisure
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2014/12/being-lady-of-leisure.html
Friday, December 12, 2014. Being A Lady of Leisure. I've been on holidays for 12 days and have spent it doing pretty much whatever I wanted, which so far has involved a fair amount of sweet stuff all. Usually I'm trying to pack 30 hours of stuff into a 24 hour day so being able to move at a snails pace if I choose has been seriously refreshing. This being (temporarily) unemployed thing is working out pretty well. The first thing I did was go on holidays for a week. And drink cocktails with. For brunch an...

Quilting in My Pyjamas: September 2014
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. Spring has really sprung here at Maison Pyjamas. Less than two weeks ago I was lamenting the fact that our cherry tree (which didn't lose its all of its leaves until August - slacker! Was still bare and barren. Today it looks like this which makes me happy because it means long, lazy, warm days will soon be a regular occurrence. I busted out a T-shirt this weekend and it felt sublime. I have to tell you it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Seriously! So I went with o...

Quilting in My Pyjamas: October 2014
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2014. Bloggers Quilt Festival -October 2014. So if it wasn't. For both myself and Fontella doing our bits this quilt would never have come to be a finished thing and I like the idea of having made a collaborative quilt with her , even if it was decades after she finished the top. And then I hung it in a cupboard and there it stayed for 4 or 5 years while I contemplated trying to find cream fabric to match, and the agony of hand sewing 400-500 teeny tiny hexies to finish it off. Oc...

Quilting in My Pyjamas: Living La Vida Loca
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2015/04/living-la-vida-loca.html
Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Living La Vida Loca. I spent the first few weeks of my new job travelling to the ends of the earth for training. For someone who has never travelled further than 15 minutes to work, an hour each way in bumper to bumper peak hour traffic was a truly horrendous experience. It was wonderful when I started at my permanent office, cut my daily travel time by about half and started to get in to some sort of routine. So this past weekend, I sucked it up, tied a rope around my waist (so ...

Musings on quilting and other things. June 1, 2015. It’s turned a bit cooler and it’s oh, so comfortable. I went to our scrap quilting club sewing day Saturday and had such a good time. I hadn’t been able to make it in awhile and it was good to catch up with everyone. I sewed on my May RSC blocks finishing them up and sewed the second to last round of logs on my log cabin blocks. I have one complete block done and on my design wall 🙂 Click over to Judy’s DWM post. For links to lots of quilty fun. Dar...

Quilted Jonquil | June RSC Blocks
http://quiltedjonquil.com/2015/06/27/june-rsc-blocks
Musings on quilting and other things. June 27, 2015. I’m in under the wire with my finished RSC light blue blocks! These broken dishes are turning out pretty well but I see one of this month’s blocks is a bit on the small side….or maybe one is on the large side. Guess there’ll be some fudging in my future. This entry was posted in Challenges. 4 thoughts on “ June RSC Blocks. June 28, 2015 at 8:29 am. Broken dishes is such a great quilt block. Looks great in stripes and plaids! June 28, 2015 at 1:14 pm.

Musings on quilting and other things. Category Archives: Recycled Clothing Quilts. July 25, 2016. It hit 100 degrees with a heat index of 115! It was a good weekend to stay inside and sew a bit….and sew I did. Here’s my crowded design wall 🙂 I’m linking up with Judy’s DWM post. So hop over and check it out. I’ve been re-arranging the solid colored rectangle samples (top left) trying to find something I really like….this might be it 🙂 Kind of pixelated. How did that happen? Posted in Design Wall Mondays.

1718 Coverlet Quiltalong — Month 1. February 19, 2015 at 3:12 pm · Filed under 1718 Coverlet. Care to join in? And I are embarking on a quiltalong for the most wonderful quilt, the 1718 Coverlet as described in Susan Briscoe’s. Book, The 1718 Coverlet: 69 Blocks from the Oldest Dated British Patchwork Coverlet. Sarah has posted in lovely detail many of the particulars which I will reiterate (steal and post) here. She has written it up so succinctly covering all the bases:. As such we are not responsible ...

Quilting in My Pyjamas: July 2014
http://fairybreadmusings.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Evolution of a Quilt. You may recall, a week ago I did a post about a rainbow of colour that I saw on my sewing room floor and the subsequent idea that popped into my brain. For a new quilt. Seriously people - sometimes you just gotta go with the flow, and so last week that's what I did. How it looked on Sunday when inspiration struck. On Monday I cut all those fabrics into strips. Tuesday - More cutting of plain fabric and I started strip piecing. Stats for the week:. I'm hoping ...
