Eine gute Übersetzung ist nicht günstig. Eine schlechte ist rausgeschmissenes Geld. Dies wird spätestens dann klar, wenn man einen schlecht formulierten, vielleicht sogar missverständlichen Text erneut übersetzen lassen muss. Das erste Honorar hätte man sich sparen können. Woran lässt sich eine gute Übersetzung erkennen? Ich übersetze vom Englischen und vom Französischen in meine Muttersprache, also ins Deutsche. Recht: Verträge, AGBs, Urkunden. Werbung: Pressemitteilungen, Webseiten, Flyer.

Der Preis für eine Übersetzung wird nach Anzahl der Normzeilen (55 Anschläge inkl. Leerzeichen), der Wörter oder der Seiten (1800 Zeichen) im Ausgangstext berechnet. Jeder Text ist ein Unikat und variiert naturgemäß in Bezug auf Komplexität, Dringlichkeit und Rechercheaufwand. Bei der Preiskalkulation für ein Lektorat verweise ich gern auf den Verband der freien Lektorinnen und Lektoren (VFLL). Im Durchschnitt berechne ich 40,00 EUR pro Stunde.
