Unemployment bill to the Governor. Not much progress last week on a budget or taxes, but there were several other bills passed. Information below. UNEMPLOYMENT BILL TO THE GOVERNOR. APRIL REVENUES CLOSE TO ESTIMATE. After revising revenue estimates downward, April revenues came in close to the new target, at about $4 million below estimates. There is some hope that income tax payments the state has not yet processed will help increase this total later. Laquo; Revenue forecast lowered. To cast your VOTE.

More bills to the Governor. There were some long nights at the Legislature last week, but the budget and tax issues will be unresolved until they return for the veto session on April 29. I am sending a list of some bills sent to the Governor’s desk, and bills of interest that will be held until the veto session. March revenues came in $11 million below estimates. They moved to the Wichita/Haysville area where her mother was a public school teacher and her father was a machinist at BOEING.
