Monday, October 24, 2011. I can't believe how long it is since I updated my blog, spring last year. So much has happened since then - conferences, loss of friends, illness etc, etc. But spring as usual brings its unpredictable weather, its beautiful sights and sounds. Below is a photo taken in August. This was on the road into Masterton, as you can see it was white-out conditions. And then we had beautiful hot weather, followed by cold conditions, again! Lets hope that from now on in the weather improves.

Tuesday, July 28, 2009. I have written before about Winter but this year it has been colder and wetter than we have ever known. My heart goes out to those farmers who are struggling with calving and lambing. This was us two years ago, so I know exactly what they are going through. But the down sides are definitely offset by the up sides. The sight of a new born lamb racing around the paddock. A cow and her calf sunning themselves - when we get sun that is.
