To welcome in the new month and celebrate in traditional Finnish style we organized a sauna party at the Finnish compound, similar to the last one with music, food, sauna, swimming and drinks. And we where cold! Hello This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). My year in tanzania. Saturday, October 28, 2006. Trip to Peninsula - 28.10.06. We were accompanied by Maaike and Tariq, two other Mzungus, so we were in good company. After sitting for a while we continued to walk to the end of the beach area where we were met by some young boys who followed us for the rest of the day telling us where we should go and where not to go as its not safe due to thieves or snakes, which was really helpful. My year in tanzania. Tuesday, January 23, 2007. 21-2301.2007 - Safari to Newala. Safari to Newala and Tandanhimba 21. Because ari arrived lately than scheduled from Singida due to road problems it meant that we couldn't visit all the friends in sports schools in the Mtwara region. My year in tanzania. Monday, April 30, 2007. We celebrated a Mzungu birthday party at the Peninsula Hotel for Laura. We ordered food, had some drinks, played some pool and went on to Boga Boma, the local night club for some live music. The night went really well and some interesting touching of themselves from local people dancing right in front of us was perhaps the highlight of the night. We tried to get tickets for the boat out to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned but the tickets where booked up for a week in advance instead we took a boat trip which went out of the harbour some miles and gave us a great view of Table Mountain as the clouds where coming over it.
