You Say Tomato, I Say Tomato. A blog about healthy living, smart choices, organic and whole foods, holistic healing, fitness, and happiness. Monday, August 6, 2012. Bread is super important. You don't want something too flimsy, but you don't want something that isn't going to work in the panini maker either. I went with the Burlington-made Klinger's Bread. My panini was just delightful! And it was complemented with a handful of sweet potato chips. I like to have something crunchy on the side.

You Say Tomato, I Say Tomato. A blog about healthy living, smart choices, organic and whole foods, holistic healing, fitness, and happiness. Thursday, October 27, 2011. I have been looking for a good body lotion that smells yummy for awhile now. I tried Bath and Body works, but all of those scents were overwhelming. I looked at the lotion aisle in Target, and the smells were just too boring. I wanted something subtle, delicious and hydrating. And I found it! Dry skin: Boots Extracts Body Butter in Vanill...

Simply, it’s the nature of the times. The cover story cools down. As times passes, what’s hot changes. The color fades. The shine soon becomes lackluster. And what was trending in your mind, you now question the admiration you had for it. How was that hot at the moment? How did we put tapered leg jeans on in the 90’s?

A blend of food stories steeped in kitchen tips and eating adventures with recipes to taste. Friday, May 22, 2009. How is rhubarb like an avocado? Just some fruit (or vegetable) for thought. And because disguise or not, it does seem that rhubarb belongs in sweet pie shells rather than salad bowls, lets get back to the sugar. From long, lanky stalks, rhubarb cut into little pieces turns to a confetti of pink and green, tart and tasty. Add a little sugar, a little heat, and one (heat resistant) spatula.

A blend of food stories steeped in kitchen tips and eating adventures with recipes to taste. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Folks, it is spring. Yes. It. Is. Spring! And holy crab cakes, is that a good thing. This last two week stretch has been a doozy. A blast of serious winter chilliness, Russ with a case of bronchitis, and then a streak of plain, gray, rainy days. And sweet, heart shaped beets. Today it is sunny and cool. The Mister Softee truck just drove by clinking out it's tune. And while, as I'...On Ap...

You Say Tomato, I Say Tomato. A blog about healthy living, smart choices, organic and whole foods, holistic healing, fitness, and happiness. Monday, August 22, 2011. It's a small window unit that's positioned in the living room, which is nowhere near the kitchen. Even when I have it on the coldest possible setting, it still doesn't make its way down my long, narrow hallway to cool off the kitchen. So it's kind of unbearable to be there when it's pushing 90 degrees outside. All-natural, vegan eggplant cut...

You Say Tomato, I Say Tomato. A blog about healthy living, smart choices, organic and whole foods, holistic healing, fitness, and happiness. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. I am a klutz. I bang into walls, I trip often, and I tend to cut my legs in the shower on a regular basis. So adhesive bandages are a necessity in my household. The other day I was at my favorite store in the world, Target, and I saw these. For the record, I haven't had a cut since I bought them. Oh, the irony. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
