How Traveling Changed My Life! - a Nomad's Dream
http://anomadsdream.com/how-traveling-can-change-your-life
How Traveling Changed My Life! I wrote this post over a year ago but never got around to publishing it. Although time and circumstances have changed – everything I say still holds true today! Regina and I decided to take a break from traveling and came home to Canada exactly 1 month ago. Our original plan was to go live in Thailand for one to one-and-half years and though we were gone for almost a year and half, we spent that time all over South East Asia. It was phenomenal! Now, we did not. One of the b...

http://anomadsdream.com/slow-cooker-sweet-potato-chili
Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Chili. Let’s continue with some more fall love and celebrate this season. As the weather is changing and the days are getting shorter and cooler, I am starting to crave more hearty comfort foods… like stew. It’s time to dust off the slow cooker and make some chili – slow cooker sweet potato chili. To be specific. The addition of sweet potatoes gives this chili a healthy kick. Did you know that sweet potatoes are considered a superfood? I only know chili with. Cook Time: 8 hours.

Bing Making a Comeback. Boy, it feels like ages since I last wrote a blog post. But like good aged wine, I hope my message has gotten better/clearer as a result. Hehe. It has been two and half years since I last shared my tricks of the trade with the world, but I’m happy to say: I’m back! Just because I did’t talk about. All this time does not mean I left the industry. I say that because I was SHOCKED to learn how many people that I used to do a lot of. Allow me to explain:. Well, turns out, there are st...
Konrad & Regina's Travel Blog: Bananitos and Mini Mangoes
http://brauntravels.blogspot.com/2012/02/bananitos-and-mini-mangoes_21.html
Tuesday, 21 February 2012. Bananitos and Mini Mangoes. This week we got to enjoy miniature versions of two favorite fruits of ours: small bananas also called bananitos and mini mangoes. To prove to you how small they really are, here you can see how lost it looks in the palm of my hand. Another visual proof. A bananito a mini mango still fit comfortably into the palm of my hand. Here in Thailand mini mangoes are called Ma Prang, but they are also known as plum mango and Marian mango. Over on my cake blog.

Wednesday, 30 May 2012. Thai Living: Drinking Water. Although tap water in Thailand always looks fine to me, it is not recommended for drinking. But fresh drinking water is cheap and easily available, so everyone - even locals - buy it. Some restaurants even get their ice cubes delivered. Sometimes several times a day. This is how we get our drinking water. Pretty neat system, eh? Wednesday, 23 May 2012. Trip to Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. We just returned from a great trip to Malaysia. First, and ...

Wednesday, 19 October 2011. This title is quite a mouthful, but basically that is our beginning travel route. I even had a hard time fitting it all into one map. If you click the map below it will take you to an interactive map with our travel route. We will probably stay there for a little bit before going to Krabi (about 2 hour drive from Phuket). While we plan on visiting as many of Thailand's neighboring countries as possible, we plan to make Krabi our home base. Konrad and Regina's Travel Blog.
Konrad & Regina's Travel Blog: Fish Spa in Krabi Town
http://brauntravels.blogspot.com/2012/02/fish-spa-in-krabi-town.html
Tuesday, 28 February 2012. Fish Spa in Krabi Town. A few weeks ago we treated ourselves to a spa experience of a different kind. It involved treatment by fish! We went to a little place on the local weekend market. While we were waiting our turn we could order any kind of drink and listen to the performances on the market stage. When it was time for our "treatment" we had to rinse our feet off, then walk to a long row of aquariums with little fish. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Konrad and Regina Br...

Saturday, 24 December 2011. Our place, first anniversary, and birthday. Two weeks ago we were finally able to move into a place we can call our home here in Krabi. It is a little outside of town in a pretty quiet neighborhood, but everything is still within close proximity. Here is a little tour of the house:. It is a townhouse and right next door are our landlords. The couple speaks no English, but they are very nice and go out of their way to make things comfortable for us. In order to get to Phaiplong...

Sunday, 27 November 2011. Next layover. Beijing. The planned layover time for Beijing was 14 hours and we were hoping to get a "day pass" or something that would allow us to leave the airport and see a little bit of the city. Well, plans were about to change when we landed. There was much back and forth between immigration and the first airline counter. A really nice lady from immigration did most of the talking for us, in Chinese, so most of the time we didn't quite know what was going on. There was som...
