And for dessert . I made cinnamon banana crepes w/ vanilla ice cream and honey. Easy, quick and fat boy fun. Once we realized that we were going to be staying home for nye i decided i was gonna whip up some fun stuff for dinner. At home with good food . Perfect way to ring in the new year. So we went to amc lincoln center last night to check out beowulf in 3d. But it also wasn't very good. The visuals were dope but the 3d was a bit much at times. All in all, i woulda been cool with staying home and watching the leggy gals on top model. Best part was wearing the 3d glasses (i had to doubled up! But then we had to give the 3d glasses back . Which kinda freaked me out a bit. I mean, do they clean them before they give em to the next batch of folk? Is the staff on point with the cleanings?

Mickey rourke is amazing. Tragic, lovable, self destructive. I don't want to jump on the "he deserves the oscar" bandwagon cause i haven't seen a lot of the seasons movies yet but his role is fantastic and its really going to be hard to top. I've only seen two darren aronofsky films but between the wrestler and requiem for a dream he's 2 for 2 in my book. Marisa tomei is lovely (even though i must admit that i have a weakness for ms tomei). Evan rachel wood is the sleeper . Up next: slumdog millionaire.

Today was exciting for me for 2 reasons: 1) Bestest dude was running this morning and 2) IT WAS FLAT! The humidity was unbelievable today. UGH. You can see from the post pics how hot and sweaty we are! I haven’t run a 48 min 10k since 2011, so I am really pleased with my result! The two girls below me in the standings ran 46mins! Yes a SKI HILL.

About a year ago we received the news that we would indeed be returning to the States in July. Though this was expected, it wasn’t an easy pill to swallow. We weren't just on vacation, we had a life.
