Wednesday, 22 August 2012. I didn't just sit glued to the Olympics for two weeks, honest! There is the best open air 50 metre pool in the world in Chamonix, with a perfect view of Mont Blanc. So, I got myself a season ticket and swam every day. I did 2km one day in honour of the open water swimmers and I have huge respect for their 10km swim, I had wobbly legs and forgot my locker combination after just 2, so goodness knows how they feel after 10km. Contemporary artist - abstract painter. Monday, 11 June 2012. Unit 4 Yoga and Natural Health Centre. I was asked to make a painting for studio1 to cover what was once a hatch between two rooms. The dimensions and situation of the piece were determined – approx 100cm x 140cm, otherwise I was given free rein with the work. The result is called Acetabulum. It hadn’t warped too much and was easily fixed in place. A smaller series of five works to complement Acetabulum. 102cm x 136cm, acrylic on MDF 2012.

Another Fine Fest

A fine festival of music, comedy, street theatre and art, in celebration of Ulverston town and the birth of its most famous son, Stan Laurel. Featuring at least two outdoor stages, multiple indoor venues and roaming. Street theatre throughout town. Sat 17th June 2017. We want to see the streets absolutely.
