Friday, August 2, 2013. One of my adult kids has quit saying he loves me at the end of our phone conversations. Maybe his wife or friend teased him about saying "I love you" to his mom. Maybe he thinks it's unnecessary to tell me " I love you" after every conversation. Maybe he thinks that being 42 makes him too old to tell his mom he loves her. Here's what I do know - In our family, we end every conversation (and every visit) with these words, "Good-bye, I love you.". Like "Ooops and Oh Shit!
