One catastrophe at a time! It’s not the night shift that is so hard, it’s the recovering that takes so stinkin’ long….ughhh, it’s a sign of old age. The older I get - in combination with the more night shifts I work in a row - the more time it will take me to recover – did I mention I start this cycle again tomorrow - day shift and then right back to nights? One catastrophe at a time! This week alone, I have managed to monogram and applique 10 shirts, make 4 pairs of pants, and a set of baby bedding - in addition to my usual 40 hours at the hospital - (sleep is optional, right? I still have quite a bit of sewing left to do as the orders continue to roll in and while I like to say, "business is booming" - it's really more like "pleasure is prosperous". Business must be booming or could something else be moving in the air up there.a little Reba for ya!

I just treated myself to a mini Tintin while Christmas shopping – The Blue Lotus. 3 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped, one spring oil chopped, fry in a little oil. Add 1 julienned carrot, stir. Around a teaspoon of paprika, pepper. Splash of soy sauce. Add one stock cube, a little water. Splash of rice wine vinegar. Top up to 1-1.5L of water. Add two more stock cubes (I used Oxo veg). Squeeze half a lemon.
