Sunday, 9 November 2008. Another non-intuitive problem. Basically when a spatial table is renamed Oracle automatically deals with re-linking all the associated elements (indexes etc.) with the exception of the value in user sdo geom metadata. It would be nice if this were documented rather than found out by trial and error! To rename the table use:. RENAME 'TABLENAMEIN' TO 'TABLENAMEOUT'. To change the user sdo geometry reference:.
