A frozen outlook on life on the ice. My name is Greig Lawson and I am a British doctor originally from Aberdeen, Scotland. I am currently working for the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) as one of the 4 doctors supporting the research down in Antarctica. I will be based in Plymouth initially for the first 6 months prior to working on the Ernest Shackleton supply vessel which will take me to Halley where I will be situated for 12 months. They seemed unimpressed with the new friend I brought for them. I wonder if it's edible? The snow blows off the ice shelf on the sea ice forming interesting shapes.
