THE CAURNIE ANGLING CLUB and Antermony loch History. Records show the Club to have been in existence since 1925 when it was formed from the amalgamation of other local clubs including the Kelvin Valley Angling Club. And Kirkintilloch Angling Club. Under the Club’s stewardship, Antermony Loch is now one of the few local waters to offer predominantly traditional brown trout fishing, in contrast to the many local rainbow trout ponds, two of which are located within quarter of a mile of the loch.

It was a still morning, overcast with some bright spells. I arrived at 8:30am and with no sign of Broon I paid my ticket and made my way up to the loch. Caurnie Angling Club Scotland. Situated at the foot of the Campsie Hills between Milton of Campsie and Inchterf, Antermony Loch is also home to a variety of wildlife. Water hen, coots, swans, ducks, bats and lots more and also - to our dismay - the occasional Cormorant is spotted catching the trout. The odd Osprey can be also be seen circling overhead.
