August 12, 2015. 開上了惠勒峰景觀道路Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive，從海拔6,825英呎的雷曼洞窟停車場到海拔9,886英呎惠勒峰登頂和古松冰川湖的步道頭Trail heads停車場，短短12英里就攀升了將近3,000英呎。 瞧 沿著小溪點點粉紅是什麼 粉紅色的野花射擊之星Jeffrey’s Shooting Star又稱Sierra Shooting Star. 原來大盆地最多的樹種是會生產可口營養松子Pine Nuts的單針松樹Singleleaf Pinyon(Pinus Monophylla)和Utah Juniper，混合生長在較低海拔6,000-9,000英呎的山林斜坡上，是美洲大陸唯一的單針松。 最後請大家聽一首我喜歡的聖詩歌 在花園中 Alan Jackson 演唱附歌詞.

Colorado Columbine 科羅拉多州花，通常為淡紫羅蘭和白色雙色，但到了雪松崖大部分都變成白色，只有少數保持原色 Aspen Bluebells 可愛的藍色鈴鐺花，像森林裡的小精靈，偶有發現幾朵變粉紅色的小鈴鐺. Southern Ligusticum白色的Parsley家族 Scarlet Paintbrush紅色部分其實不是花，而是保護花的拖架Bracket. Subalpine Larkspur深紫色的花，花形細緻 Starry False Solomon’s Seal白色花，花心有一圖案像所羅門王的印章. 白山裡的古老刺果松Old White Mountain Bristlecone Pine.

Easterm Sierra Panorama View on Mammoth Mountain Summit 11,053 ft. 招牌麵包Original Sheepherder一條$3.95還好，但是一個小小的Bear Claw Pastry也要$3.95，一個可以抵LA的Porto’s三個半。 在旅館拿了Mono County Eastern Sierra的旅遊資料，隨便翻翻才驚覺這裡有太多值得花時間停留的景點。 資料上寫著六月湖June Lake 號稱加州的瑞士 還有好幾個峽谷如Rock Creek Canyon和Lundy Canyon等，在秋天，大片白楊轉成金黃，有著無敵的美景，一個美不勝收的季節。 Mammoth Lakes and Mountain.
