March 03, 2015. Some favorite Emma words:. All the /oo/ sounds like shoe, Pooh, juice, book are said with a cute pooch of the lips. Ink (drink, said in the back of the throat like -ing). Heyyy, eenice (HEY be nice! Aka mom stop telling me what to do). Turns out we were more upset about losing our baby than she was about losing her babyhood. She's growing right UP! And I love/hate it of course. Shes got the best expressions! I miss this girl and cant wait to see (and hear) her this summer!

April 08, 2014. It's impossible to pack with this crazy baby who climbs up on everything and is terrified of the tape dispenser noise. So I'll write about how cute she is because, duh, that's more fun. She won't lay down for pictures anymore but I have to include one, because otherwise she looks too much like a wanna be big kid! And her daytime sleep is ruined! Don't know how that happened. But my goodness she's cute. I thought she would loose her chunk after becoming mobile but no worries!

Friday, January 11, 2013. I have had fun experimenting with Sophie's hair. She has one section of hair right on the crown of her head that is pretty long and sticks straight up. I have been curling it with a curler but it is getting a little long for that so I have tried pigtails, a ponytail, and then just kind a scrunching it. Isn't she pretty? July 21, 2014. She hated the balloons and the cake and didn't really care about anything but the huge gift bag! All that work for a few smiling pictures? YUP She still feels like a baby, despite her growing walking skills. Probably because she's an only child and has no teeth? Especially when that chunk is just begging to be gobbled RIGHT UP. February 03, 2014. All day everyday I tell this girl how cute she is. Mostly because I can't get over it myself. Lots (and lots) of times I think, "This mom stuff is too hard! But then she sweetly snuggles me out of the blue or eats my face when I'm not paying attention. As if to say, "Mom remember how cute I am? That's pretty much why you're doing this." June 09, 2014. I guess other things are happening. Looking back it seems Emma's just getting older and we're not doing anything fun. But we do have a life outside of her! We went to a Royals game and Emma secretly supported the Giants. We saw cousins in Ephraim. Went to the park alone. And with Dad, way more fun. Went swimming and was suspicious from the start. Probably mad her swimming suit was too big. My bad. Saw old friends and was only sometimes excited about it. See so we do stuff. Love it, Lacey!

May 18, 2015. Having a baby is crazy. CRAZY. One minute they're in your belly and the next they are in your arms.
