Thursday, July 20, 2006. To the rice field outside my building, I do not say goodbye. I do not speak to inanimate objects. But I will miss seeing it every day, glowing unusually green lately. Having agriculture in cities is a good idea. It reminds people that we have to grow what we eat. Onigiri - rice triangles.

Monday, June 27, 2005. Sleep deprived of the world, UNITE. There is someone snoring in my hostel. not even in my room, but in the one next to mine and so sleeping is now out of the question. it is 6:30am and i just cant fight it anymore. Even the reception guy can hear it and he has tried to wake up mr snuffles who was russian and apologetic, but still snoring. in a fit of frustration, i tossed in a note that will make no difference but which temporarily made me feel better. Monday, January 31, 2005. With another amazing weekend under my belt, orientation is but a distant memory. A bad dream. to celebrate our freedom on Friday, we went out for pizza at this egyptian place (? And started with a couple heineken. Then of course we found ourselves at the Highlander, the regular exchang student hang-out, until we were kicked out at 3:00am.
