Wednesday was a free day for the group and as mentioned previously in this blog, some in the group chose to make a return trip to Jerusalem. On this journey we visited the Mount of Olives where history says Jesus left his last footprint on this Earth. Believers also say it is the right footprint of Jesus that remains visible on the tower. Many of the team hit the beaches and the sea for one final time, while others slept in and even others strolled the many shops of Tel Aviv. But this is Israel and where else can you find a Kosher McDonalds right next to a synagogue? 8230;or stop at the grocery, you can do that here as well. Just a taste of life off the beaten path. Just another WordPress.com site. August 19, 2011. It’s been a long journey for the University of Toledo Rockets Women’s basketball team which returned home today from Israel. This wake-up call was one not many people will forget. Leaving our hotel…. And this view of the Sea shortly after one in the morning. Israeli security is considered the best in the world, and it was tight on this day. The security agents were extremely helpful and in great spirits as they continue to work to keep everyone safe.
