Let's Get That Grill Fixed! Tri Tip Marinade: Three Awesome Steak Marinade Recipes. A tri tip roast is a wonderful cut of beef. The tri tip is a 1-2 pound steak that comes from the bottom of the sirloin. The name “tri tip” refers to the odd shape of the muscle. Tri Tips are one of “secret jewels” of the steak world. Tri tips have very little internal marbling so they are rather mild on the flavor scale. Let’s get going! Best results are obtained when the meat marinates in the refrigerator overnight.

Grilling Makes Me Happy. July 7, 2015. July 8, 2015. Really loved the 4th of July weekend and watching the World Cup. We were eating a big pile of smoked tri tip when those first three goals got scored. We were all very happy. Started with a standard 2.2 pound tri tip that had some nice marbling. I really lucked out when I found this guy! The tri tip got seasoned with a pretty standard steak rub:. Smoked Tri Tip Dry Rub. 1 Tablespoon kosher salt. 1 Tablespoon cracked black pepper. 1 Tablespoon celery salt.

Sarah 'n Spice. Spicing up life, one bite at a time. Hot and Spicy Italian Beef. July 24, 2015. By Sarah 'n Spice. This is a fun and spicy take on traditional Italian Beef. My husband is obsessed with all things beef and it was a true testament to how good these sandwiches were, because he actually ate the leftovers. *Gasp* He hardly ever eats leftovers, which makes me crazy, but these leftovers were gobbled up in no time. I’m already thinking of the delicious ways I plan to use this in the future. Caref...

Sarah 'n Spice. Spicing up life, one bite at a time. July 10, 2015. By Sarah 'n Spice. When I received a bunch of tomatoes in our latest Bountiful Basket. I knew the salsa game was on and the pressure was real. Simple, clean ingredients were the star of the show. No canned tomatoes here, we’re using them straight from the vine. The end result was lovely. The husband wanted a bit more spice, so I will add a few more jalapeños in for him next time, but for me, it was amazing! Pulse in the food processor (o...

Sarah 'n Spice. Spicing up life, one bite at a time. July 8, 2015. By Sarah 'n Spice. Broccolini is a beautiful cross between regular old broccoli and Chinese kale. It was developed in California by the Sakata Seed Company. Here’s a great recipe I found at Williams-Sonoma on how to prepare it. Heat some olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Toss in some very thinly sliced garlic. Cook until it’s slightly browned. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. 1 bunch Broccolini, ends trimmed.
