In Praise of Editors: from first draft to last it is always a blast. The Spaghetti Monster Method of Writing: A Blog Hop →. September 18, 2013 · 9:02 pm. IOU a story that works: Narrative Debt. I first came across the term ‘Narrative Debt’ in the appendices to the extended edition on the Two Towers DVD and it struck a chord with me. As a pantser I work with narrative debt all the time, so I understood the concept; I just didn’t have a name for it. Which is a tad prescriptive. Don’t neglect to tell ...

DESCENT INTO LIGHT: Mike Allen’s Home Page. Tuesday, June 30th, 2015 / No Comments. Editor Rhonda Parrish has shared the lovely and eerie cover for her forthcoming anthology Corvidae. Which contains a new weird tale from yours truly, “The Cruelest Team Will Win.” (It’s a sequel, of sorts, to “The Hiker’s Tale” in Unseaming. The corvidae family, of course, encompasses crows, ravens and magpies, but I based my dark fantasy tale on bluejays. And spiders. Both comprise cruel teams.). Leave this field empty.
