Wednesday, 22 April 2015. 2015 Season. Week One. I arrived in Corre on Friday 17th April in a downpour of rain. However once aboard Antiope all was dry below, she had survived the winter well,. Having evicted a few angry spiders, I was able to set up home. A bachelor pad for a while as Annie will be joining me later in the season. Day three, sanding and filling, sanding and filling again. Friday, 8 June 2012. 2012 A busy year. An Author at last. Swatchway Magic', the book, finally in print. There is a saying, that there is a book in all of us. Well finally I can claim my place, with my name on a pubished work. Nothing grand, a modest paperback, however, the book 'Swatchway Magic' has been in the pipeline for over 10 years now. So, what is it all about? A boating tale of course, but also a nostalgic photographic journey along the Essex and Suffolk coast of England where I learned to sail.

Sunday, 2 November 2014. A Tale of Three Rivers. Another season has drawn to a close. We are home in New Zealand and 'Antiope' is snugged up for the winter. Antiope ashore at 'Corre' on the Soane river. A big gap here since I last updated this blog.for all sorts of reasons. Swan built in 1897, under restoration. New timber in the transom. Before heading over to France and while seeing folk in England I had the opportunity to see my old boat 'Swan' which is now under restoration in Lowestoft Suffolk.

Thursday, 6 August 2015. Taking the lift to Strasbourg. In a quiet backwater just outside Nancy. With a couple of weeks between guests aboard, I found a quiet spot for a bit of maintenance. I also took time to explore town. The Porte de la Graffe, Nancy, has stood here since 1360. Joan of Arc is claimed as a local lass.
