Playing Pattycakes and Pinching Poachers: My life as a mother and a state game warden. Quotations (funny and otherwise). Artwork and Photography by Fish Cop. Sunday, August 7, 2011. And the Winner Is. Every once in a while.ok, let's be honest, quite often, I encounter someone that makes me feel like a pretty darn good parent (at least in comparison). You have probably already given the baby some hearing damage by exposing him to these gunshots out here.not to mention all the lead," I said. More blank sta...

The African Fly Angler: RAB
http://theafricanflyangler.blogspot.com/2010/08/rab.html
Saturday, August 21, 2010. This is a very productive dry fly here in our local streams. It was designed by Tony Biggs and you can probably find it in every fly box in South Africa. It is a wide hackle dry fly with long trailing legs to create the impression of movement. It presents beautifully and if tied correctly settles on the water as light as a feather. RAB stands for Red Arsed Bastard. Is a great Step by Step by Tom Sutcliff. Light wire dry fly hook with a wide gape. Cock hackle fibres or CDL.

Fish-Cop Out of Water: It's a Keeper
http://fishcopoutofwater.blogspot.com/2011/07/its-keeper.html
Playing Pattycakes and Pinching Poachers: My life as a mother and a state game warden. Quotations (funny and otherwise). Artwork and Photography by Fish Cop. Thursday, July 21, 2011. It was scorching hot this morning, so I decided to stay in the air-conditioned truck as much as possible. Luckily I have many small ponds in the urban areas of my territory I could drive around and check. So, I set off to find some anglers before the sun had a chance to scare everyone off. So, did you catch some keepers?

Kelly opted for the ultralight and the 4" Powerbait worm, which turned ou...

The Naturalist's Angle: Fly fishing brotherhood
http://naturalistsangle.blogspot.com/2014/04/fly-fishing-brotherhood.html
Perspectives of a fly fishing naturalist. Friday, April 4, 2014. I learned about Braden Smith thanks to a post by Morgan Kupfer of the Tight Lined Tales of a Fly Fisherman. Morgan posted a little over two weeks ago about a fellow fly fisherman in need. I decided to do what I could to help a member of the brotherhood. even though I didn't know him, and he didn't know me. I think it may have been made by Cortland, but can't be sure of that, and don't remember how I came to that conclusion. Fish on, brother.
