The Whiskey Priest: Liberal Democrats and Conservatives: A Love Story
http://oberon2001.blogspot.com/2008/01/liberal-democrats-and-conservatives.html
Liberal Democrats and Conservatives: A Love Story. Anybody else noticed how obsessed the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives are with each other, at the expense of attacking Labour? From the Clegg / Cameron debate. Of policy proposals (and not-so-instant-a-fisking. Cobbled together by Gavin Whenman. Its true, we seem to have a huge anti-Conservative thing going with a more softly softly approach to Labour. Unfortunately the biggest stumbling block in my opinion to sharing power in government with the Tor...

The Whiskey Priest: It's Not That I'm Proud
http://oberon2001.blogspot.com/2007/01/its-not-that-im-proud.html
It's Not That I'm Proud. Email received today from the head of Junction11. The student radio station my friend. And I broadcast on once a week:. It was brought to my attention that your Monday show did not comply with the rules that we must follow as a broadcasting service. Due to your aforementioned conduct, I must stress that your tenure as a Junction11 presenter is currently under review. I hope that you will take on board the points I have made and use them constructively for your next show. Its Not ...

The Whiskey Priest: 2007: A Year in Posts
http://oberon2001.blogspot.com/2007/12/2007-year-in-posts.html
2007: A Year in Posts. Continuing a long tradition. Is it a tradition if I've only done it once? Here are my favourite posts of 2007. To a pompous email. I'd forgotten how silly my response was. But I think his final word. Was just a bit unfair. An explanation of how the media works. In a rare display of courage, I post. Banned photo of David Cameron. I struggle to install a printer on Windows Vista. And finally, salami-slicing freedom. And Our Glorious New Leader. And got stuck in. 2007 was a bumper yea...

The Whiskey Priest: Internment
http://oberon2001.blogspot.com/2007/07/internment.html
Ken Jones, head of the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo). Has been arguing for an extension of the 28 day limit on detaining. Suspected criminals* without charge. Possibly indefinitely. He's been attempting to backtrack on this. Or, "clarify what he said") so here's what he said in full, from the original source. We need to go there and I think that politicians of all parties and the public have great faith in the judiciary to make sure that's used in the most proportionate way possible.".

The Whiskey Priest: Nick Clegg's Nickname
http://oberon2001.blogspot.com/2008/01/nick-clegg-nickname.html
For what Nick Clegg. S nickname should be. Ming was Merciless, Cameron calls himself Dave. And Gordon is not Flash. So what should Nick be? Not only that of course, but then the party could choose to be "a bunch of tossers". Cobbled together by Gavin Whenman. Dude, what have you been smoking? Anyway, Cleggy already has a nickname, courtesy of his best mate Chris Huhne (or the anonymous researcher thereof). I think it's likely to stick, unfortunately. Is the original meaning of the word to do with alcohol?

The Whiskey Priest: The Final Round
http://oberon2001.blogspot.com/2007/02/final-round.html
It has been a week since the following emails were exchanged and I've heard nothing back from Junction11. The student radio station I used. To have a show on. To refresh your memory, here's the original email from Junction11. For the sake of posterity, here's the short and less than sweet email I received from the head of Junction11 last Friday:. This is with immediate effect. And now for my reply, which is admittedly quite arsey. And a shade pompous:. And an addendum email sent shortly afterwards:.
