When I was younger, my mom challenged my brothers and I to read 100 books every summer. It started getting harder as we got older because chapter books replaced our picture books. I was only able to accomplish the task of reading 100 books one time — and that was the summer after second grade. It is a small accomplishment, but I will never forget it! Books 1-3 reviewed here!

Sunday, March 11, 2012. Take My Breath Away. Wow, 2012 is really sticking it to us so far! January Matt tore his ACL, February he had surgery on it and is off of work for a while. while recovering he and I both got sick. He eventually got better and mine did not. Which brings us to March where I got hospitalized for asthma! It's been no fun - at all! Hopefully, we can find our creative juices and have some fun during Spring Break! I'm so thankful to have such thoughtful and caring people in my life!

Monday, July 16, 2012. The boy turned 5! Well, my baby turned 5 yesterday! It is crazy how fast this kid has grown. I vaguely remember him being a baby. Since he was born (a month early) he's been growing and developing so fast that I feel like I hardly got a chance to hold him! He's such an independent little kid. Saturday, June 30, 2012. Well, summer has been off to a pretty good start. The kids went to church camp for a week while Matt had his 3rd and hopefully final knee surgery. His recovery is going great and we hope this one will stick! God has been so good to us in helping us manage all of these medical bills with our limited funds. We're so blessed! Since the kids have been home and Matt's on sick leave we've gotten to enjoy a lot of family time! Next we go on vacation to the beach! A bowl full of lemons.

Friday, December 30, 2011. It was truly a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I don't know about you guys but we had such a great Christmas! My favorite part of it all is spending time with my family! Each year we spend Christmas Eve at my parents' house and Christmas Day at my inlaws. The kids have so much fun playing until they're plain tuckered out with all their cousins! It's such an exciting time. I was fine with him not getting it - I mean, we can't give them EVERYTHING, right? It was a miracle!
