Sunday, March 12, 2006. The Nobel Peace Prize. Anwar Sadat won the Nobel Peace Prize along with Begin in 1978 for making peace between Egypt and Israel. This was a great event it ended the war between Egypt and Israel that began in 1973. The treaty was signed in Washington DC several months after Sadat's famous trip to Israel. Sunday, March 05, 2006. Anwar Sadat was born in 1918 in a Egyptian village by the name of Mit Abul Kom 40 miles to the north of Cario. Sadat had a normal life he would do chores and take care of the farm like any other kid. When he was a child Sadat's father work as a clerk in a military hospital near. Before he was born Sadat's Egypt had become a British colony. Four main people influenced Sadat's early life. Anwar Sadat was assinated while watching a military parade comemorating the Arab-Israeli war.
