Bug in the Brain: Two years post-op
http://buginthebrain.blogspot.com/2011/09/two-years-post-op.html
Bug in the Brain. One young mother's vestibular schwannoma [acoustic neuroma] story. Now with dysautonomia! Friday, September 23, 2011. As of yesterday I officially made it to two years post-op. Which of course I figured I would. With a vestibular schwannoma if you make it to one year post-op you'll probably make it to two and three and so on until which point you reach some non-vestibular schwannoma related death. Which I don't mean to be morbid, it's just true. My face hasn't really improved since last...

Bug in the Brain. One young mother's vestibular schwannoma [acoustic neuroma] story. Now with dysautonomia! Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Three and a Half Years Post-Op. I am incredibly late in posting my three years post-op update. Things have, as always, been crazy for the last six months and I never got around to it. I have, however, started a new blog ( Something And Other. About whatever random things I feel like writing about. I posted a post-op update there today. And I hope you will check it out. Quali...

Bug in the Brain: September 2010

Bug in the Brain. One young mother's vestibular schwannoma [acoustic neuroma] story. Now with dysautonomia! Wednesday, September 22, 2010. The One Year Anniversary. One year ago sometime around this I was sleeping in an ICU. Weird to think about. Things are currently okay. I'll go with just okay. I'm a heck of a lot better off than this time last year, that's for sure. But no where near perfect. Mostly, I just try and tough it out. As much as I love the fall, I'll be happy when the new season passes.

Bug in the Brain. One young mother's vestibular schwannoma [acoustic neuroma] story. Now with dysautonomia! Tuesday, March 6, 2012. The New AN (that's not a tumor). That shows most of the parts, in case anyone reading needs to have this done and wants to know what to expect. Dr R said that my responses to the sweat and cardio portions of the test (at least I think he said cardio. cardio-something? Be fixable if it is hereditary, but probably not. He said we would start investigation into this, but my...

Bug in the Brain: August 15th is always the worst
http://buginthebrain.blogspot.com/2011/08/august-15th-is-always-worst.html
Bug in the Brain. One young mother's vestibular schwannoma [acoustic neuroma] story. Now with dysautonomia! Monday, August 15, 2011. August 15th is always the worst. I'm a little teary today. I'm running on very little sleep so I'm probably over-emotional just from that, but it's also August 15th again, so it's the 2 year anniversary of finding Gary the giant vestibular schwannoma. But my head hurts. So. Bad. Dr D checked out my MRI and consulted with the neuro radiologist, and they said it looks good - ...

Bug in the Brain. One young mother's vestibular schwannoma [acoustic neuroma] story. Now with dysautonomia! Monday, May 30, 2011. The Saga of the Bum Left Eye. By the way- I love getting messages and I love answering questions, so if you have 'em, send 'em to me! So anyway, here's the saga of the bum left eye, up to this point. It's going to be a long one. I mean really long. And me responding, "I don't know - Do I? All of these products ran me roughly $20/week in the first year post op. The Celluvisc dr...
