So, I understand gasoline prices are less than here in South Alabama in other parts of the country, but I'm still happy with ours.at least it's better than the $3.99 we got up to! Sunday, November 23, 2008. Update on Gas Prices. So, I understand gasoline prices are less than here in South Alabama in other parts of the country, but I'm still happy with ours.at least it's better than the $3.99 we got up to! This is what I paid today. I paid $1.81 in South Texas. I think it is always quite a bit cheaper for us in the gulf states. We are, with the exception of some sodas for the holiday party and a few other food items. But as of yesterday our gift shopping is complete, I had two things left to pick up and I was able to get those, one of which at a huge discount I was not expecting. Yay! Poor kid.
