http://mini-curiosityshop.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 12 January 2011. A special hello to my newest follower, Grimdeva. Thanks for stopping by :). This is just a quick update to let you all know where I'm at with the brickwork. I have sooo many university assignments I hardly have time for anything else :(. As you can see from the image, I'm almost finished on the front too! I just need to add the finishing touches now and then sand everything down. I will add a longer post soon- promise! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Sunday, 30 October 2011. I haven't left you! I'm still here, believe it or not! Sorry I haven't posted anything DH related in such a long time! I'm back at uni- final year- which means the dreaded dissertation. Money has been tight in the lead up to Xmas, as ever, so less money available to spend on DH stuff! Here is what I have been up to:. Lemon cupcakes with lemon buttercream icing. Twilight cupcakes (chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream icing). Thanks for sticking around! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Miniature Curiosity Shop: December 2010
http://mini-curiosityshop.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 14 December 2010. I have made a start on the brickwork and I can say that I'm extremely pleased with how it looks! It looks rather uneven (which is purely down to my inexperience) but I actually quite like the effect as my house isn't going to be pristine anyway. Also, I am yet to sand it down. I must say, it. Not perfect, but I'm happy with it for my little, creaky old house. 3 Keep a towel or newspaper underneath the house because a lot of the brick compound falls off as you are spreading it.

The Miniature Curiosity Shop: July 2011
http://mini-curiosityshop.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Monday, 25 July 2011. Welcome to my newest followers, Andy and Raspberry! So glad you stopped by! As you can see, today I made some curtains! It's my second attempt following the same instructions from Sue Heaser's book 'Dolls House Do-It-Yourself: Curtains'. As the first time I used cotton fabric and it simply didn't fall right. This time, I used beautiful dupion silk *apologies if it's spelt incorrectly* and they have hung perfectly. Don't you just love the green rod? To make your own curtains:. 1 Meas...

The Miniature Curiosity Shop: Tiles Are Nearly Finished!
http://mini-curiosityshop.blogspot.com/2012/12/tiles-are-nearly-finished.html
Thursday, 13 December 2012. Tiles Are Nearly Finished! What do you think? I'm definitely getting there! I need to cut the tiles to fit around the edges but in order to do that, I'm going to need to find someone who has a Stanley knife so that I can do it safely haha. I did have a job getting the tiles to stick over the wire which feeds into the light in the room below (which will one day become the kitchen! Cut tiles to size. Have a lovely, fantastic Christmas! 29 January 2013 at 09:58. Anything Miniatur...

The Miniature Curiosity Shop: August 2011
http://mini-curiosityshop.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, 20 August 2011. The flooring has been put in (although still needs sticking down and sanding at the front) but here we go! I am so, so pleased with the result! I got the flooring sheet from my favourite ebay shop 'Little Green Workshop' for a bargain price of £6.99. (Their website is: http:/ www.littlegreenworkshop.co.uk/. It came with the promise of ease of use and I can totally pass the promise on- it really does. So you've got an idea of size, I took this photo with a 1p piece on:. A word of...

http://mini-curiosityshop.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 19 January 2013. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I'm just letting you all know about a new lifestyle blog which I've started, simply called 'Jessiemapooh' (long story). You can find it here. This doesn't mean I've abandoned this blog, of course. It's simply another outlet for all the other things I do besides from trying to build a dolls house! I'd love to see some familiar faces over on the new blog :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. A second stair case.

Friday, 26 November 2010. It's been a while! I am just putting in a quick post to let everyone know I'm still here! Please bear with me, I'm not going anywhere! I am so, so busy lately. As some of you may know, I am doing a degree in Youth Work and Youth Studies and that just sucks up such a lot of my time! As well as two full days at university, I do around 10-20 hours a week on placement so I just never seem to have a moment! Come the Xmas holidays though (can't wait! I will update with photo's soon :D.
