Knit and Run: April 2015
http://knitandrun97.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The Everyday Life of a Wild and Wacky Woman. Sunday, April 19, 2015. A Blast from the Past . . . One of my cousins has gotten into Ancestry.com. In a big way. My mom also was very interested in tracing her roots in Northern Ireland and she amassed a bit of information, and I had hired a genealogist in Northern Ireland before I went there a few years ago, and they unearthed some things. I never did anything with it. Butterick #3528 B.M. Butterick #3528 B.M. October 4, 1986. Yes, I made them wear those...

Knit and Run: I am One with the Wind and Sky . . .
http://knitandrun97.blogspot.com/2015/08/i-am-one-with-wind-and-sky.html
The Everyday Life of a Wild and Wacky Woman. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. I am One with the Wind and Sky . . . For those of you who might be on Ravelry, I'm doing a little destashing. Now seems like a good time to continue letting go of stuff. I spent a lot of time earlier this year doing just that - and there is still stuff I can let go of, so I'm looking at pretty much everything with a critical eye. This time I will likely work on selling stuff rather than donating it all out of hand. I'm going to read ...

Knit and Run: The First Cut is the Deepest . . .
http://knitandrun97.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-first-cut-is-deepest.html
The Everyday Life of a Wild and Wacky Woman. Saturday, August 1, 2015. The First Cut is the Deepest . . . It's the first day of my new budget! I arrived home yesterday and put the trash barrels back in the garage - I could see my Netflix in the front door along with the mail that I picked up as I opened the door. Hmmmm, a pretty thick envelope - what's this? As I walked into the kitchen, I turned it over. Not a prospectus. Not a bank statement. It was my car insurance bill. My car insurance bill. You CAN...

Knit and Run: The Budget List
http://knitandrun97.blogspot.com/p/the-budget-list.html
The Everyday Life of a Wild and Wacky Woman. Here is a running list of the changes I'm making in my day-to-day life. Bringing my lunch to work every day (savings of $50-$65/week). Switched special dentist to the city location instead of the suburb (savings of wear and tear on the auto, gas, and city parking at least two times a year - estimated savings of $60/year. Not a lot, but every little bit helps). Analyzed my cell phone bill - called them and dropped my data plan in half (savings of $30/month).

Knit and Run: January 2015
http://knitandrun97.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
The Everyday Life of a Wild and Wacky Woman. Saturday, January 31, 2015. I have spent this past week working in my house pretty much non-stop. It was not a great food week for me - I stopped counting by Friday dinner. I think I was lucky to only have been up .4 on the scale this morning. They had both been dead a pretty long time, though, so it could have been a lot worse. And here is all my stuff, over in the alcove. Filled it up completely. I packed it in there pretty darn well :-). Here's the Check In:.

Knit and Run: July 2015
http://knitandrun97.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
The Everyday Life of a Wild and Wacky Woman. Friday, July 31, 2015. One Day More . . . I'm ready for August 1st. I just got the total number on my income, and I made one other major cut three days go - to my church pledge. That was hard to do, but I knew that I had to do it. I've ordered the last of the things I feel I'm going to need - and for which I can save in the months before needing them again. What's found money, you ask? Literally found money :-D. Linda the Chicken Lady. Here we go . . . I am fi...

Knit and Run: March 2015
http://knitandrun97.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
The Everyday Life of a Wild and Wacky Woman. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Disasterland . . . No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Construction is a beyotch. I started this post at least a month ago. . . Construction is fattening . . . :-S. Construction is dusty. Oh yes, it was this bad . . . Using the guest bathroom is way different than using my own bathroom. Not having a functional kitchen for about three weeks was very difficult. This is my kitchen now. And this is the granite. It's absolut...

With the $50 give/take surplus that I had last Friday until I got home and got the mail, and the change in my CC I am now coming in with $2/month to spare. Yay! Monday, August 03, 2015. Labels: Life on a Budget. Yikes that the car insurance thing didnt occur to you earlier in this process! Are there any other possible expenses like that you can think of now? Knit and Run: August 2015
http://knitandrun97.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
The Everyday Life of a Wild and Wacky Woman. Saturday, August 29, 2015. Pay Attention . . . No Internet since Wednesday - finally back on today after two phone calls to AT&T and a service call this morning. Wow - a LOT of my life is tied up in electronic stuff . . . The budget update is that I have gone over budget on groceries for a number of reasons that will be explained shortly in a Field Report, below, but include circumstances and choices. My asthma story is here. Well of course I would! It was a l...
