Leighton Noyes, Drawings and Paintings: November 2009
http://leightonnoyesdrawingsandpaintings.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Friday, 20 November 2009. 1 of 20 LITTLE LANDSCAPES. This is the first of a little ink landscape that will be sold for 50p/£1 at my daughter's school's Christmas fair. I've been volunteered to draw 100 pictures for the first week of December so part of what I'll do will be these landscape types and the remainder will be along the lines of my children's drawings. The money raised will go to charity so I can't even complain about the workload. Links to this post. Tuesday, 17 November 2009. The Six Million ...

Leighton Noyes, Drawings and Paintings: MARTY FELDMAN
http://leightonnoyesdrawingsandpaintings.blogspot.com/2010/06/marty-feldman.html
Sunday, 27 June 2010. I did this portrait of the comedian, actor and writer Marty Feldman a while back because I love his brilliant face. I suppose there's always a slight danger of disrespecting a face like his when drawing it but I tried to steer away from that because, as I say, I love his brilliant face. Leighton Noyes, Drawings and Paintings: May 2009
http://leightonnoyesdrawingsandpaintings.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Friday, 15 May 2009. A fair while ago I went through a phase of drawing portraits just to keep my eye in whenever work was slow or non existant and this is a pencil drawing of Sylvester McCoy. I know what youre thinking here: 'Please, not another Dr Who. Sorry about this. I've always felt that one good way to learn to draw is by drawing the things you're really keen on and I've been a bit of a Dr Who. Anorak since I was about 5. And as a young man it was easier to get hold of pictures of Dr Who. I also a...

Leighton Noyes, Drawings and Paintings: PETER FALK as COLUMBO
http://leightonnoyesdrawingsandpaintings.blogspot.com/2011/07/peter-falk-as-columbo.html
Thursday, 7 July 2011. PETER FALK as COLUMBO. Peter Falk who sadly passed away earlier this month was a bit of a hero of mine during my teenage years; I often pretended I was Columbo whenever I deceptively bumbled about solving murders. I'm currently selling this portrait on ebay. With a percentage of proceeds going towards Alzheimer's research. Labels: pen and ink. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hello chums, I've decided that perhaps it might be a good idea to keep my children's book illustrations separate from my other work to make it easier for art historians to archive my stuff . I'm a children's book illustrator by day but by night anything goes and I look upon this blog as a small opportunity for me to let go of the children's work for a bit and show some of my other stuff instead.
