Basically, the diet is no caffeine, no sugar, no gluten, no dairy, no alcohol. I’m fine with the caffeine and alcohol. Dairy I can handle. But sugar and gluten – ahhhh! I do think I slipped a bit today when I was in a pinch and needed to have something for lunch. I cooked a frozen black bean burger and saw that it wasn’t gluten-free. Sumbitch. But no worries here. Restoring and modernizing a mid-century modern home. December 4, 2013. How I’m Doing With My To-Do List. A little while back, I posted a to-do list. Here’s how it’s going so far. New items are at the bottom in bold. Clean junk off the kitchen counter. Clean and seal the granite countertop. I still need to clean and seal the countertop, but I cleared everything off of it. It looks good! I’ll post pics soon. Clean leaves out of the fish pond and filter (if it’s not too wet out). Move clothes into closet.

I haven’t posted much because between working full time and dealing with less-than-fun issues around the house, not much has gotten done in the way of actual progress. However, the last few days have been great in making the house look like a home! First, we finally finished putting all the bedroom furniture together. Yay! Also, last night I FINALLY made enough progress in the kitchen so that it’s actually looking like a kitchen!

I’m not on stims right now, but when I was on them a few weeks ago, I got to wondering…. What would happen if we increased our stims on our own, without talking to the docs? They say 150 of Gonal F, why not slip an extra 50 in there? They say 20 Lupron… why 25 wouldn’t hurt. I didn’t do this, honest. It’s Official… IVF #3 Has Begun! Good news – estrogen level was below 50 so they aren’t worried about cysts (at least not for now). I started Lupron tonight, will continue that twice a day for a while, and add some Gonal-F and Menopur in a day or so. It’s my famous high-dosage cocktail of fertility meds. IVF #3 – It’s Over. After the scare of having cysts last week, we were told that we could move forward with the IVF cycle. Started Lupron, Gonal-F, and Menopur. At the next appointment days later, they did not see any cysts yet saw six follicles growing, one measurable. Hopes raised. But the estrogen number was low. And then this morning they barely saw any follicles and estrogen was still hanging out around 20. My nurse called this afternoon. Cycle has been cancelled. I’m thinking… if my doc...BTW, the ...
