Saturday, December 15, 2012. We had a small group at Thanksgiving at Mom's. My sister and her husband spent the holiday with their new little grandson (the first! Official holiday portrait. Nils, Emily, Mom, Matt, Paula, Bob. Bob is wearing his Fair Isle Vest. Mom always sets a beautiful table. Emily gets the green beans on. Everyone modeled some of my knitted shawls. It wasn't my idea but I loved it. Even guys look good in lace. Lovely photos, Paula. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.

Friday, May 18, 2012. The Academic Year Ends. Early in May we attended the annual CEC (Civil Engineering and Construction) Awards Banquet for Bradley University. Bob received the Outstanding Faculty award for his department. I am so proud of him because he works so hard and is very good at what he does. One of his former students received the award for Outstanding Alumni. This makes a person look back on a long career, which is not over yet! Department Chairperson, Amir, with Bob. Imagine how thrilled we were when we drove our rental car up a steep hill and found this at the top. There were roses for Bob in the garden! The garden was re-awakening my gardening instincts. Spacious kitchen for cooking and family gatherings. Entryway with purple door. Nice hooks for hanging coats and rain jackets.

Saturday, March 2, 2013. Resting Place - for pins. So have you watched all the episodes of season 3 of "Downton Abbey" yet? I sometimes felt like the tug of war was with my emotions. A. Happened in season 3, huh? I have to say that the plot lines often take second place in my interest to the all the wonderful costumes and lush set props. Oh, my.
