A place called joy. Monday, January 7, 2013. So, today i am saying hello to getting back again. Back to some sort of structure again. and back to being organized in my days. it's been too long. it's time to get back to completing projects that have gone undone and accomplishing new things. and back to doing the things i enjoy each day. i really do have lots of ideas and good intentions for the new year. A place called joy. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Last day of school = summer. I mentioned on friday that school was officially out for the summer. and while slade and elle were attending their very last day, sia and i were painting a banner to welcome them home and to celebrate the occasion. How do you celebrate the ending of the school year. We also had popsicles waiting for them and celebrated into the evening with homemade pizzas. And gifts from grandma. Goodbyes are never easy, are they? A day to remember.

This is our last weekend before school starts. so, i think we will savor some pool time. this evening, we have plans for a fun get together with our neighborhood friends. our next meet up will be at the bus stop on wednesday! I am in love with the idea of having a little cottage. In my own backyard. Build a picnic table. With a built-in cooler. For your next celebration. To little girl sneakers. A bushel basket lantern.

A place called joy. Thursday, July 28, 2011. Finally. this afternoon, i convinced all three children to eat one of my favorite sandwiches for lunch- a peanut butter and apple sandwich on cinnamon-raisin bread. i like mine with prunes and a sprinkle of cinnamon too. I just haven't convinced them about the prunes yet! I ate so many of these sandwiches when i was pregnant with slade and it is still a very favorite of mine. Image via pepperidge farm. Lincoln took his time and did such a great job! He made sure not to mix the paints (like usual) and covered every inch of his ornament. Sawyer on the other hand.was done in about 30 seconds!
