A place to flourish

A place to flourish. One tiny family discovering God's big plans. Our journey through learning how to live with less, in order to live more. YL: 2675336. Sunday, July 5, 2015. It's the first totally dry day we have had in a while. I have been loving the rain for my garden but also wishing for a dry day to dig up some of my potatoes. I planted two raised beds this year and have completely fallen in love with being outside, and having something to call my own. But all that hard work! I am so proud of you!

A place to flourish: April 2015

http://www.aplacetoflourish.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

A place to flourish. One tiny family discovering God's big plans. Our journey through learning how to live more abundantly, through a never ending cycle of trial and error. Wednesday, April 15, 2015. The milestones, as you always have that little voice that tells you it may not be permanent. We finished the story last night and as I tucked Luke in I thought about all the heartaches I have felt because of his regressions. Why did it hurt so much when he backtracked? It was last night, after I said goodnig...

A place to flourish. One tiny family discovering God's big plans. Our journey through learning how to live more abundantly, through a never ending cycle of trial and error. Monday, April 6, 2015. Blog post. That is something else entirely. It sets the tone for how the entire blog will be run. It can turn readers on or shut them off entirely, never to come back. I have been wracking my brain with how to create the. Post with one result, frustration. The lavender was also included in the kit. Everyone'...

Winter 2015

http://sermanfamily.blogspot.com/2015/06/catching-up-in-2015-i-had-planned-on.html

Saturday, June 27, 2015. Catching up in 2015. I had planned on sitting down a writing something about our first half of 2015. But it seems we have been very very busy so I will mostly share photos. Thw inter months were nice. We were able to plant, water and eat from the. Green house. Harper loves to be out there. It had much much more later in the spring. There is always time to puddle jump:). And to find Easter eggs. And to die Easter eggs. Time to plant bolts. Time to teeter tawter with GG.

Winter 2015

http://sermanfamily.blogspot.com/2015/02/and-last-week-of-2014-i-had-sleep-over.html

Thursday, February 26, 2015. The last week of 2014 I had a sleep over with Miss Ava. She helped with dishes. Aunt Kim was our personal photographer. Don't let her fool you. She can be a sneaky card player. I pulled out my Barbie's. And we dressed and re-dressed them. The next morning we took a tractor ride. A little leary. At first but she liked it in the end. I hope next Christmas I have Harper, Ava, Livie, and Savannah. How interesting will that be? Posted by Aunt Nora. A place to flourish.

Winter 2015

http://sermanfamily.blogspot.com/2015/02/december-2014-for-past-few-years-after.html

Thursday, February 26, 2015. For the past few years after much training Wade has set up and shaped our tree for us. He does a great job but this year we had some light failure and I fought with it all Christmas. I finally ended up weaving an extra string of lights after it was all decorated. This seemed to help it. Now I have to remember to do it before we decorate or to get a new tree next Christmas. The kids always put their ornaments on every year. It was a way I could do it peacefully and. I had ofte...

aplacetogetinvolved | Ministry, Culture, Sports, Theology, Practical Living

Ministry, Culture, Sports, Theology, Practical Living. No matter how “big a boy” (or girl) you may think you are we all desire, at some point in our lives, to have a sense of security. Security is something that we can all appreciate and be thankful for at times. I mean even “Bon Qui Qui” needed some security! By no means does this mean that the struggles that we have aren’t real. As long as we live in this depraved world, we will face pain and sorrow, and the reality is, it will hurt. But ...I do realiz...

aplacetogetitout | Just me trying to figure out myself.

Just me trying to figure out myself. The process of processing. What Makes Me Softer. I have to remember Life is moving when I peer out of my broken mirror glasses at it, it’s not standing still. I can’t really see it through all the reflecting versions in different shards pointing this way and that, all telling different stories about what I see. But it is moving. To try to stand still and rest on a plateu is to deny life’s natural flowing. A poem I’ll never read to you. You would be so surprised. I int...
