Becoming a 21st century learner. Friday, February 17, 2012. This year I have been teaching a class of rambunctious Kindergarteners. I have 16 of them, and they keep me on my toes all day, everyday! Recently, I have challenged myself to go out of my comfort zone; to go out of what. Then, the students went off to write their own letters. Finally, we went to the computer lab, and they each had to type out their letters to President Obama. Hopefully, we'll hear from Mr. President soon. Get a Voki now!

Becoming a 21st century learner. Thursday, August 5, 2010. Dual Language Training Institute. I just attended a three day training on the One-Way Dual Language (OWDL) program based on the. Gomez and Gomez Dual Language Enrichment Model (DLE). The model emphasizes the development of concepts. Gomez and Gomez believe in a print rich environment, and support the idea of labeling objects (red for Spanish and blue for English) in the classroom, as well as in student generated alphabet charts in both languages.
