The Maple Trees Are Wearing Their Spring Garments. April 05, 2017. Every spring of the year I look for the red blush of color that happens when the Maple trees trot our their pretty garments to welcome the reawakening of the world. In my mind I think about the trees like this: Maples start the year with pretty garments of redish pink blooms and end their growing season with leaves deeper in scarlet color but no less beautiful than the spring garment they started out with. How Does My Garden Grow? But the...
Ruminations from the Distant Hills: April in the Cove

Thursday, April 30, 2015. April in the Cove. APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding. Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing. Memory and desire, stirring. Dull roots with spring rain. T S Eliot, from The Waste Land. He groped for a doorless land of faery, that illimitable haunted country that opened somewhere below a leaf or a stone. Thomas Wolfe, from Look Homeward Angel. CS Lewis, from Transposition and Other Addresses. This month I’ve been mulling over. An incident he mentioned in the conclusion of Walden.

Teresa Wells: September 2009
http://teresawells.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
I Recommend . . . Posted by Teresa at 10:57 AM. Plot and Structure, by James Scott Bell, is a revolutionary book to many of us who are writing novels. It's funny how many times I've run into someone who finds it as inspiring as I have: I told Lois about it, she finished it before me and urged me to hurry up! Then my sister-in-law, Laura, who has had a novel living in her head for years, picked it up and was amazed at how easy plotting became for her! So, get this book! Quick, before they're all gone!
