Appalucie Fiber Arts

Saturday, July 12, 2008. This wrap was adapted from a pattern that doesn't really have a name, from Victorian Lace Today. I made the border one repeat wider and added a third vine to the center panel. Yarn is Zephyr that was hand dyed a gorgeous raspberry color, purchased on Etsy from Zen Yarn Garden. Wrap is about 70" long, and was knitted on size 4 needles. Posted by Lucie @ 6:37 AM. Monday, October 08, 2007. Virginia State Fair, 2007. Here we go again! Posted by Lucie @ 1:07 PM. Thursday, November 23, 2006. Here's the Lotus Flower cloth on my dining table. Posted by Lucie @ 6:12 PM. That is so very, very gorgeous. You get to chase anyone who goes near it with food or drink around the house. Actually, I don't mind if people eat on it . it's bleachable! I'm sure I won't be serving spaghetti, though. :). Lucie it looks wonderful! Someday I'd love to try something that intricate myself! It's incredibly beautiful - a functional work of art! And it looks smashing on your table.

August 20, 2005. Actually, Dublin, Ohio, home of corporate headquarters of Wendy's. And technically, I'm home in VA now, so, whatever. I drove by the concrete ears of corn every day. Sadly, I was not able to get my own photos because I was chained to the hotel and the Beightler Armory the whole time I was in Ohio. So I stole this from another site. Posted by Lucie @ 12:00 AM. March 28, 2005. The Shetland Tea Shawl, she is finished! She took about six weeks to knit (with a one week break before I started the border). The border took about eight days but was well worth the effort. It's over 3" wide and has a lovely fluttery quality which I think makes the shawl. The shawl pattern, which comes from the Gathering Of Lace book, was designed by Dale Long. It's a variation on Elizabeth Zimmerman's famous Pi Shawl, and I think it's my favorite of all the pi variations I've seen.
