May 26, 2005. My friend Joel posted a response to my previous post in his blog. I am pleased to note that we mostly agree. Rock on. Posted by Lucie @ 1:35 AM. Ten Questions to Ask Your Biology Teacher. The Ten questions were written by Jonathan Wells, author of the creationist book Icons of Evolution. These questions have been going around for awhile and many people have responded. So here's my attempt. Poking around in bookshelves*. Did I really get rid of my biology textbooks? August 20, 2005. Actually, Dublin, Ohio, home of corporate headquarters of Wendy's. And technically, I'm home in VA now, so, whatever. I drove by the concrete ears of corn every day. Sadly, I was not able to get my own photos because I was chained to the hotel and the Beightler Armory the whole time I was in Ohio. So I stole this from another site. Posted by Lucie @ 12:00 AM. March 28, 2005. The Shetland Tea Shawl, she is finished! She took about six weeks to knit (with a one week break before I started the border). The border took about eight days but was well worth the effort. It's over 3" wide and has a lovely fluttery quality which I think makes the shawl. The shawl pattern, which comes from the Gathering Of Lace book, was designed by Dale Long. It's a variation on Elizabeth Zimmerman's famous Pi Shawl, and I think it's my favorite of all the pi variations I've seen.

July 29, 2005. I've used my flip flop (size 8) for size reference. Here's a newly hatched nest from the night before. This photo shows a single track of a baby that ran along a tire mark. You can see the little alternating flipper marks. Notice that this tire track is the same size as the tire marks in the previous blog entry. And here's a shot that shows baby tracks with adult tracks, for size contrast. You guys are so cute! Taken by a turtle patrol volunteer. Which is based in Melbourne Beach. The ...
