Monday, November 01, 2010. Taquile was muy tranquila but never was i so glad to descend to lower altitude. On Saturday took a turismo bus to Cusco which rolled through pretty Andean valleys and stopped at a few incan sites. Saturday, November 06, 2010. The sacred valley was cool. Last Tuesday I left Cusco for Ollantaytambo, or Ollanta. The town is a real-life Incan city, with original stone walls and water channels. Then I went to see Machu Picchu, staying in Aguas Caliente for 2 nights so that I could spend a full day at the ruins, from sunrise to sunset. It was worth it!
