Mothering with a teacher's heart. Friday, March 29, 2013. When I was born, doctors quickly discovered that I had a hole in my heart plus a heart murmur, which isn't that uncommon. But while other children with same ailment often heal naturally because the hole closes up on it's own, mine only continued to grow larger. After I recovered from surgery, I remember being able to climb my Grandparents' HUGE hill from the lake to their house without being winded for the first time in my life. It was awesome!
