Live to Garden: First Year As A Small Farm
http://flowrgirl1.blogspot.com/2013/12/first-year-as-small-farm.html
Tuesday, December 3, 2013. First Year As A Small Farm. 2013 marked our first year in business as small farmers. Overall I thought it went pretty well. Especially since it was such a crazy year. We bought a house, tons of moving (three 26 foot u hauls), got married at our home, started a business, and worked full time to top it off. I have lots of big new plans for the coming season. I'm going to start raising culinary and medicinal herbs. I have drawn out a beautiful garden plan for the back yard...I wou...

Live to Garden: August 2012
http://flowrgirl1.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 1, 2012. It needs lots of work. Most of the buildings need roof repairs as does the house. The house is small and dated. Nothing special at all really. It seems to be quite solid though. No creaky or wavy floors. Windows are shot. It needs all new flooring and paint. In this case, however, it's not really the house I'm after. The land is beautiful! I think this property is as close as I will ever get to what I want in this county. I love it! The North end pasture. The North pasture again.

Live to Garden: July 2012
http://flowrgirl1.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 4, 2012. A bouquet of wildflowers I made while scouting an organic apple orchard. A very adorable white tail. A butterfly really vogueing for the camera. A fledgling chickadee and it's little hole in an organic apple tree. Good job soldier bug. It's that time of year again. The cherry harvesters are hard at work. The crop is about 10% of average but at least there is something. I have had an extreme case of 'barn love' my entire life. Someday I will have my own. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Well, we are finally making some headway on the wedding plans. I booked a canopy for our backyard. Tables, chairs, linens, dance floor, bar, etc., are included. Whew! That should run us around $1,500 or less, actually. A fantastic price for a 150 person tent! We had our "save the date" photos taken by a friend. Of ours. He is a budding photographer and offered to take our pictures for free as a gift. Fantastic! And we really appreciate it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hello, b...
