Appleshine: A Thought, a Sharpie and a Notecard
http://appleshinenyc.blogspot.com/2012/02/why-is-it-that-i-can-always-find.html
Thursday, February 2, 2012. A Thought, a Sharpie and a Notecard. Why is it that I can always find something better to do than my 'To Do List'? Today, I buckled down (for a whole 2 hours! And after I crossed off a few items, I decided to put some thought into ambitious but attainable goals. For myself. I chose a couple good ones then took out my Sharpie. Wrote them on notecards and stuck them to the wall. Suddenly, with just a little green ribbon. To connect them, I had created a mini vision board.

Appleshine: Lists and Notepads
http://appleshinenyc.blogspot.com/2012/05/lists-and-notepads.html
Tuesday, May 15, 2012. I'm always talking about making lists. And I want you to use to lists efficiently rather than let them end up as more paper clutter. So here are good notepads to keep on hand that let you scribble down things for your to do list. And keep you on track without overtaking your desk:. I love my Moleskine notebook. This. Tiny pocket size fits neatly into my purse side pocket, making it easy to grab when I need to quickly write something down. Very self explanatory, these notepads.

Appleshine: Nifty Wallet Trick
http://appleshinenyc.blogspot.com/2012/06/nifty-wallet-trick.html
Monday, June 25, 2012. Happy Monday, friends! I took full advantage of summer's first official weekend. Hope you did, too. I was all over town. And you know what made it so easy to skip around? My Metrocard. And you know how I keep it close at hand? My nifty little wallet. I keep it in the side pocket of my purse so I can grab it easily while I'm running for the bus. Cause that's about the only time I ever move quickly in the city: to catch the bus. Otherwise, I'm a bit of a saunter-er.

Appleshine: Appleshine: Girl's Bedroom
http://appleshinenyc.blogspot.com/2012/03/appleshine-girls-bedroom.html
Thursday, March 22, 2012. Well, ain't that the truth. Everytime I've helped a client Appleshine their space, there has been a discovery of some long lost item, something they'd given up for dead. When I organized this girl's bedroom, it wasn't just about finding lost things; we did lots of clearing out, throwing away and rearranging furniture. Tell me, Appleshiners. Was your room messy or clean while growing up? Thursday, March 22, 2012. Http:/ ladulcivida.blogspot.com/. March 22, 2012 at 1:31 PM.

Appleshine: Appleshine: Unpacking a Kitchen (Part 1)
http://appleshinenyc.blogspot.com/2012/03/appleshine-anatomy-unpacking-kitchen.html
Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Appleshine: Unpacking a Kitchen (Part 1). Last week, I helped a client unpack her kitchen. Their move from a small apartment to a loft brought more cabinet space. But thanks to their innovative storage in their previous apartment (she kept her baking supplies in the hall closet and the ice cream maker under their bed), they had more than enough cookware to fill it. It was a long day of Appleshining but if you check back tomorrow, I'll show you how it ended up! I like this Amelia!

Appleshine: My IKEA Kitchen
http://appleshinenyc.blogspot.com/2012/07/my-ikea-kitchen.html
Friday, July 6, 2012. When I moved into my apartment (7 years ago! I immediately got to work on kitchen solutions. I knew I needed to make the most of my wall space because, frankly, that's all this eat-in kitchen had other than 3 upper and lower cabinets plus one drawer. So I went to IKEA. And bought myself a kitchen. Fortunately, they had a plethora of wall storage. (Plethora- fun word, right? I grabbed a couple of these. Basket. And I really liked this. Spice rack, too. Tell me, Appleshiners.

Appleshine: Too Much of a Good Thing is Bad
http://appleshinenyc.blogspot.com/2012/07/too-much-of-good-thing-is-bad.html
Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Too Much of a Good Thing is Bad. This weekend, there was an article. In the NY Times about overindulgence. It states that " buying more, and buying for ourselves — are ineffective at turning money into happiness". So think about it: the more you buy (for yourself), the less happy you are AND the more clutter you have. According to this article, ". People are happier when they spend money on others rather than on themselves". Save yourself space. Tell me, Appleshiners.

Appleshine: Appleshine: Boys Playroom
http://appleshinenyc.blogspot.com/2012/03/appleshine-boys-playroom.html
Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Yesterday, I organized a boy's playroom. There wasn't much purging needed as there was re-organizing the toys, games and books. He's reading more chapter books now so I kept only his favorite storybooks on one shelf, making room for another matching bin to hold small action figures. Tell me, Appleshiners. What tricks do you have for keeping some toys accessible (and others out of reach) for young ones? Also, check out this girl's playroom. For more kid-inspired organizing.
