Sunday, July 7, 2013. He Burped in my Nose. Grayson burped in my nose. Not around my face.in my nose. The kid was acting all sweet. grabbing my hair and "kissing" my face (which is really trying to bite my face as if I were a piece of cake). Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Life keeps moving. And moving. And moving. Luckily Grayson still does not, because my house is pretty much a baby danger zone. We will baby proof, one day. Will you pray that people step up and watch their two other daughters while they try to navigate this crazy path? Thank you in advance. I will post updated prayer requests when I have them. Friday, August 23, 2013. Yesterday I cried because I tried to make a last minute appointment to get a massage or pedicure or facial.or anything with my gift certificate, and they are all booked. I should probably go pee on a stick because all this crying is getting a wee bit ridiculous. Today I am doing better. No tears thus far.even when my little bugger learned how to climb the stairs. Between caring for my mom and walking with her until she died, I didn't have as much intention in my pregnancy or my parenting as I would have liked. Friday, August 12, 2016. Tree Tunnels and Vanity. As a vain pre teen I often found my mom annoying and embarrassing. Did she always have to say the same thing at bedtime everynight? See you in the morning. Did she have to leave notes in my lunchbox? I wasn't 5 anymore! Why were normal things so fascinating to her? Wednesday, July 13, 2016. On Children and Ego Shattering. I am not sure where I acquired the misconception that I was going to be God's gift to my children and them a gift to me. In so many ways they are special and wonderful gifts. In other ways they are awful and ego shattering. Please hear me out, and don't write me off as the worst parent ever. My love for my children is fierce. I needed a good dose of humility and soul crushing. So God gave me Grayson. We have never felt so ineffective in our lives.
