Tuesday, December 23, 2008. A life well lived. We lost Neil's grandmother this morning and now she is at peace. We were able to say goodbye to her yesterday. She was a wonderful lady, always happy to have her family around her. She will be missed. This picture was taken just last weekend at her Christmas celebration.). While we were there we got news that my cousin's husband passed away very unexpectedly. I was fortunate to meet him at a family reunion in September. Monday, December 29, 2008. How do you say goodbye to a friend? I love you Emilie? I don't know. Part of me is happy to have such a fond rememberance of our last time together and another part feels guilty that I didn't go and see her when I heard she was finally failing. I guess I didn't want to crowd her or take and precious time left that she had away from her and her family. Goodbye my friend Emilie, I love you! It really was a beautiful service. Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Has it really been five years since I've become Mrs. Ankrum? Neil's folks took the kids overnight and we went to dinner at Fogo de Choa. What an experience. Tuesday, December 16, 2008. I spent most of yesterday at the doctor's and the outpatient section of the hospital. It turns out I have more fluid in my right lung (more than last time), which means more collapsed lung, which explains my breathlessness and pain in my chest and back.
